Explore our range of recycled 18ct gold and platinum mixed metal wedding rings available in a growing number of styles from Mokume Gane; an ancient Japanese art which uses metal folding techniques to mimic woodgrain within a ring to inlays which allow one metal on the inside of a ring to be seamlessly joined with a second metal on the outside of a ring. All our jewellery is sustainably made-to-order using ethical materials and is 100% handmade from scratch in our Wetherby workshop.

All our mixed metal rings can be made with any combination of precious metals, so do get in touch if you are interested in speaking further about a project which includes a combination of metals or style not currently available in our mixed metal wedding ring collection.

Wedding Rings - Frequently Asked Questions

Ethics is a complex issue, encompassing environmental, socio-economic and humanitarian factors, and there is no one right answer. We have chosen to only use recycled precious metals because these metals are already in circulation in the world and do not therefore contribute further to the potentially adverse effects that mining can have on ecosystems  and communities.

Some of our metals go beyond simple recycled metal and have a super cool backstory embedded in the world of planetary remediation.  For example, our copper comes from the electrical wiring of a remediation system I installed nearly 20 years ago to clean up a kerosene spill residing atop a groundwater resource used for public drinking water.

Needless to say, ethical sourcing is central to everything we create. All our gold and platinum rings are crafted from recycled precious metals, and every gemstone we use is either recycled or a carefully selected lab-grown.

You can find out more on our Ethics & Sustainability page.

Yes. We have a number of Curved Wedding Rings you can choose from which come with a free ring contouring service. This allows you to take a mould of your engagement ring from the comfort of your own home, which we can then use to create a bespoke contour to your wedding ring so it fits perfectly against your engagement ring.

If you can’t see a curved wedding ring you like, you can purchase our Ring Contouring Service along with any wedding ring on the site.

We recommend getting your ring finger sized to get an accurate fit as the last thing you want is to receive your ring, only to have to send it back to be resized. There are lots of things that can impact the size of finger, including your finger changing shape over the course of the day and the style of ring you are considering (e.g. the flatter and wider the ring, the larger the size you will need). You can read more about how you find your perfect ring size, as well as the factors that affect your ring size here.

When considering your ring size our advice is to look for a ‘push on, twist off’ fit. You want your ring to sit comfortably on your finger, and not be sliding around. To achieve the best fit, we would encourage you to use our remote ring sizing service. This is a two stage sizing service we have developed which uses the exact width and profile of the ring you intend to buy.

No, your wedding rings don’t need to match. Many couples prefer coordinating styles instead of identical bands. That said, if matching rings feel right for you, that’s a lovely choice too. Ultimately, your wedding ring should reflect your style and you should feel comfortable and confident wearing it.

When creating a pair of wedding bands for a couple, if they are made from the same precious metal, they we will always be made using the same molten bead of metal meaning your rings are chemically inseparable. This forms a connection beyond their style or design, making them beautiful and meaningful handmade wedding bands.
