We love to hear the many stories behind the inlays requested for our handmade inlay wedding rings. Our first inlay was made from foraged deer antler found by a game-keeper that he wanted to include in his wedding ring. Since then, we’ve created inlay rings using countless materials, many of which are provided by our Clients because they signify a special memory, a favourite item, or a place they hold close to their heart. These have included basalt picked up from the edge of a volcano during a romantic walk, fabric from a piece of clothing worn on a first date and a Lego block - the possibilities are endless. Of course, we can also supply any material if you just like the design of inlay rings.

Our inlay wedding rings are truly unique as well as being sustainably handmade-to-order from ethically sourced materials. We only use recycled precious metals and you can choose from 18ct and 14ct gold (yellow, white or rose) as well as 950 platinum. Each wedding ring we make also includes a small piece of river gold which has been hand panned by Mark our founder and which we gift you. You can choose where your river gold from giving your ring even more sentimental value - we have a collection of river gold from around the world.

If you have something specific you'd like as your inlay, just get in touch with us, or, if you can't find what you're looking for, contact us about a bespoke commission.

Wedding Rings - Frequently Asked Questions

Ethics is a complex issue, encompassing environmental, socio-economic and humanitarian factors, and there is no one right answer. We have chosen to only use recycled precious metals because these metals are already in circulation in the world and do not therefore contribute further to the potentially adverse effects that mining can have on ecosystems  and communities.

Some of our metals go beyond simple recycled metal and have a super cool backstory embedded in the world of planetary remediation.  For example, our copper comes from the electrical wiring of a remediation system I installed nearly 20 years ago to clean up a kerosene spill residing atop a groundwater resource used for public drinking water.

Needless to say, ethical sourcing is central to everything we create. All our gold and platinum rings are crafted from recycled precious metals, and every gemstone we use is either recycled or a carefully selected lab-grown.

You can find out more on our Ethics & Sustainability page.

Yes. We have a number of Curved Wedding Rings you can choose from which come with a free ring contouring service. This allows you to take a mould of your engagement ring from the comfort of your own home, which we can then use to create a bespoke contour to your wedding ring so it fits perfectly against your engagement ring.

If you can’t see a curved wedding ring you like, you can purchase our Ring Contouring Service along with any wedding ring on the site.

We recommend getting your ring finger sized to get an accurate fit as the last thing you want is to receive your ring, only to have to send it back to be resized. There are lots of things that can impact the size of finger, including your finger changing shape over the course of the day and the style of ring you are considering (e.g. the flatter and wider the ring, the larger the size you will need). You can read more about how you find your perfect ring size, as well as the factors that affect your ring size here.

When considering your ring size our advice is to look for a ‘push on, twist off’ fit. You want your ring to sit comfortably on your finger, and not be sliding around. To achieve the best fit, we would encourage you to use our remote ring sizing service. This is a two stage sizing service we have developed which uses the exact width and profile of the ring you intend to buy.

No, your wedding rings don’t need to match. Many couples prefer coordinating styles instead of identical bands. That said, if matching rings feel right for you, that’s a lovely choice too. Ultimately, your wedding ring should reflect your style and you should feel comfortable and confident wearing it.

When creating a pair of wedding bands for a couple, if they are made from the same precious metal, they we will always be made using the same molten bead of metal meaning your rings are chemically inseparable. This forms a connection beyond their style or design, making them beautiful and meaningful handmade wedding bands.
