I originally found Jacqueline and Edward looking for a Scottish gold ring, but fell in love with the focus on being environmentally conscious. We could not have had a better experience buying our wedding rings. Mark was always very responsive and helpful with any questions we had. I think we used every service – bespoke design, sizing and curve around the engagement ring.
My ring is a bespoke design which incorporated the outline of the mountains behind Oslo where we are getting married in white and yellow gold. My fiancé's ring is a beautiful simple yellow gold. The yellow gold in both rings is from the same molten bead which includes a little gold from Norway and Scotland (where we are both from). We can’t think of anything that could have made these rings more special. But I’m sure Mark would have found a way to do it anyway!
Even during Covid, Mark went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. We just received the rings and they far surpassed our expectations! They are absolutely perfect (quality and fit) and presented in a lovely handmade wooden box. I would not hesitate to recommend Jacqueline and Edward to anyone!
I purchased my husband's wedding band from Jacqueline and Edward and was very pleased with the service and responsiveness they provided. They were very helpful in answering my questions and prompt in their making and delivery of the ring. The ring itself was beautiful, made with a bit of Yorkshire river gold which made the ring even more personal and special, as my husband is from Yorkshire. It came nicely packaged in an unique wooden box, and we were both very happy with it. Would highly recommend!
We were put in touch with Mark via a friend and could not be happier with the service and quality of our wedding rings. During a time when in person visits were prohibited and all shops were closed (due to Covid 19) Mark went the extra mile to ensure we were looked after. Knowing the gold has been ethically sourced, and some gold was included from our favourite locations makes them extremely special. We will be sharing the story with everyone from now on, whether they ask or not. Thanks again Mark!
Couldn't be happier with our beautiful rings - everything worked so smoothly and promptly and Mark has been beyond helpful in making sure we got them exactly right for us.
We had a wonderful experience with Jacqueline & Edward Ltd. Mark, the proprietor, was brilliant to work with - responsive, kind, thoughtful and very professional. We loved the focus on sustainable items, using recycled gold and planting a tree in memory of loved ones. Despite lockdown, the process worked smoothly and we have rings that are beautiful and which fit perfectly. Our only regret is that we weren't able to meet Mark in person this time. We hope we can do so at a future date.
We couldn't be happier with our rings. The entire process was straightforward and very well done, even with lockdown getting in the way. The rings themselves are high quality and beautiful, and the fact that the gold is sustainably sourced is a magnificent bonus. Would highly recommend to anybody!
My partner and I got engaged during lockdown and first had some concerns about choosing rings remotely. But Mark from Jacqueline & Edward made it a great and easy experience. We got two ‘Cavanacaw’ rings (in yellow and in white gold). Thanks to the remote sizing service, the rings have a perfect fit. And most importantly, they are absolutely wonderful! Would recommend without any hesitation.

I can't thanks these guys highly enough! The rings they made us are absolutely beautiful and they were so incredibly accommodating and friendly with what we wanted from them design wise. I love the fact the gold is ethically sourced and knowing our rings are from an independent jewellers who care so much about what they do, makes them even more special than a shop bought ring. Its been a really difficult time because of Covid, and we had to move our wedding date after they'd made our first rings - which had already been engraved. They had absolutely no issues with us sending the rings back to them to have them engraved again, with the new dates on, and they did it at no extra cost. To have such a wonderful act of kindness during what has been an incredibly stressful wedding to organise, is something we'll always be grateful for. Would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!
I spent a long time looking for an ethical ring designer, comparing different artists and their ethos. I am so delighted that I settled on Jacqueline & Edward and could not be happier with the end result.
Mark was an absolute pleasure to work with and was fantastic at navigating me through the process of designing an engagement ring. We started off gold panning in a river in Scotland, near the Leadhills, where we got the opportunity to get to know each other and discuss my priorities and his process. I was blown away by Mark's passion and knowledge for gold and how much care and attention he put into every aspect of the process. Whilst panning it was clear that his environmental and ethical principles were true principles and something that he truly lived by. Carefully ensuring that when we were panning there was minimal impact to the river and nature around us.
Once we had found our gold we started the long process of the ring design and sourcing the remaining materials. Mark was an absolute Saint and I cannot thank him enough for putting up with all my changes, questions and demands through the process. He sourced river gold from Japan, New Zealand and Scotland ensuring the ring was 100% hand panned (countries that were important to us). We talked through different ethical diamond options and when I wasn't happy with those presented he immediately went back to work to find a suitable solution. We settled on Old European Cut diamonds which are absolutely stunning. Mark also sourced aquamarine from Brazil to add another bit of meaning for my partner.
Designing the ring from scratch was a daunting process as I had no idea what I was doing. Mark was very patient and slowly talked through and sketched ideas until I had exactly what I wanted. Some of his concepts were very unique. One that we incorporated was placing 5 small diamonds, geometrically, to represent the 5 countries my partner had lived in. I know that if I had gone anywhere else to great a ring would not have ended up with something so unique, beautiful and ethically sound. And above all my, now, fiancé absolutely loves it!
We will be using Mark again for our wedding rings and I couldn't recommend Jacqueline & Edward enough to anyone!
