All our men's engagement rings are made from ethically sourced 18ct gold (choose from yellow, white or rose gold) or recycled 950 Platinum. We only use ethical diamonds too so you can consciously choose from either recycled diamonds or lab-grown diamonds. None of our rings are cast or mass-produced. They are made-to-order and are as handmade as can be all the way from molten gold through to finished ring. One at a time.

Why Choose Jacqueline & Edward?
Ethics is a complex issue, encompassing environmental, socio-economic and humanitarian factors, and there is no one right answer. We have chosen to only use recycled precious metals because these metals are already in circulation in the world and do not therefore contribute further to the potentially adverse effects that mining can have on ecosystems and communities.
Some of our metals go beyond simple recycled metal and have a super cool backstory embedded in the world of planetary remediation. For example, our copper comes from the electrical wiring of a remediation system I installed nearly 20 years ago to clean up a kerosene spill residing atop a groundwater resource used for public drinking water.
Needless to say, ethical sourcing is central to everything we create. All our gold and platinum rings are crafted from recycled precious metals, and every gemstone we use is either recycled or a carefully selected lab-grown.

There are several differences between white gold and platinum – metal characteristics, colour, durability and cost.

While traditional women’s engagement rings often centre on a prominent solitaire stone, men’s engagement rings offer a broader range of styles. For example, many opt for a silhouette similar to a wedding band but with extra details to signify the engagement.
This might include an inlay of wood or granite or some personal material, like a piece of clothing you wore on your first date together.
Or flush-set stones like diamonds or sapphires set level with the surface of the metal like in an eternity band. More men are also embracing the men’s solitaire or signet-style engagement ring too.
