Planet Wild x Jacqueline & Edward: Helping To Re-Wild Our Home Planet

Planet Wild is a nature protection organisation, building a global community of people who want to give back to nature. Every month, the contributions of the Planet Wild community fund rewilding projects that bring back endangered species, clean up our oceans, and rewild entire forests.

At Jacqueline & Edward, we care deeply about preserving the beautiful world we live in.

That’s why we believe in using recycled resources instead of mining new ones. And giving back is equally important to us – which is why we’ve chosen to donate 1% of our profits to Planet Wild. We want to ensure our planet thrives by contributing to Planet Wild’s rewilding missions to help restore the natural world.

The best part is we can see the impact we’re helping to make. Every project is reported through a detailed video that dives deeper into the project, the community contributions and the impact.

The problem – our planet is in multiple crises at once.

While climate change gets a lot of attention, we don’t talk enough about how the natural world is vanishing on a massive scale. Biodiversity is not a nice-to-have. It’s absolutely vital for our food and water supply, disease regulation, and shelter.

Why we’ve chosen to support Planet Wild

• 1,000,000 – Plant and animal species are threatened with extinction.
• We are losing around 135 plants, animals and insect species every day to deforestation.
• In the past 12 years alone, 467 species have been declared extinct.
• Almost half (44%) of the world’s habitable land is used for agriculture and raising livestock.
• Wildlife populations have plummeted by 69% since 1970.
• 100,000 animals die annually from ocean plastic entanglement.

By supporting Planet Wild together we are helping to:

• Bring back endangered animals – helping to ensure the recovery and ongoing survival of endangered and keystone species.

• Support oceans and aquatic life – our oceans are in trouble, so Planet Wild support initiatives that are doing something about plastic waste and noise pollution.

• Revive forests and re-wild landscapes – by re-wilding ancient forests, building biodiversity corridors, and developing groundbreaking ideas to bring back nature.

How it works

Each month, Planet Wild collaborates with the world’s most impactful environmental initiatives around the globe to create real impact.

1. On a monthly basis, the Planet Wild team selects impactful environmental projects;
2. We help to fund a mission every month along with the global Planet Wild Community;

3. We receive a mission video report every month to show the progress being made. We share these over at @jacquelineandedward

4. Step by step, we’re helping to restore nature, increases biodiversity and unleash a much needed systematic change.
