Camp Hill, Bedale, North Yorkshire

Planning an alternative wedding? Camp Hill, in Bedale, North Yorkshire, is bound to meet your needs. In a magical outdoor setting – located within the natural beauty of a 250-acre English Country Estate amidst gorgeous woodland – it encourages couples to make the most of Mother Nature and try out its Glamping and Camping Village following their long-awaited nuptials.

There’s also an outdoor eco spa, a Nordic barbecue cabin, and an equestrian centre for the horse lovers amongst you.

Plus, the venue is pretty much open to any of your suggestions when it comes to your wedding plans, allowing you to ‘let your imaginations flow’ and see your dreams come true.

Skipbridge Country Weddings, Green Hammerton, York

Now here’s another wedding venue which invites you to embrace the outdoors, thanks to its quirky styled tents.

Choose from tipis, traditional marquees or even yurts to set up home for the night in, or host some of your celebrations – there really is lots on offer at this alternative venue.

Ideal for rustic-styled weddings, it’s situated between Harrogate and York and your vows can be exchanged in a civil marriage ceremony in the Willow Bower under a beautiful willow tree. Bliss!

Hideaway at Baxby Manor, North Yorkshire

For eco glamping fanatics, the Hideaway at Baxby Manor is the perfect place to get wed. Surrounded by countryside and farmland, you can choose to have your ceremony amongst wildflowers or in the venue’s apple orchards.

If you appreciate listening to nature and eco-camping off the beaten track, you’ll love the venue, says its organisers, who admit there’s nothing quite like ‘toasting marshmallows on an open campfire whilst gazing at a sky laden with stars.’

Camp Katur, Kirklington, Bedale

Another great wedding venue in Bedale, North Yorkshire, Camp Katur offers brides and grooms-to-be the opportunity to get married in its woodland ceremony area. It’s nestled amongst stunning pine trees and is a tranquil and intimate space which can accommodate over 100 guests on tree trunk-style bench seats.

Making use of the Great Outdoors, it also offers a special glamping section for you and your guests!

Rudding Park, Harrogate

Now here’s a venue which is close to our own hearts at Jacqueline & Edward, as we enjoyed our 10-year wedding anniversary photoshoot here.

Harrogate’s Rudding Park is simply perfect for anyone who wants to pose amidst beautifully lush greenery in its gorgeous surroundings. You can even take a rowing boat across to its very own ‘Love Island’, where you can enjoy some alone time and toast your first moments as a married couple with a glass of fizz. With a weeping willow and moon arch, it’s the ideal setting to be at one with nature.
