Completion:

All wedding rings will be completed 4-6 weeks from commission of the piece, including for the associated hallmark service.

 

UK Delivery:

All UK orders are sent using Royal Mails Special Delivery or First Class services, there are very rare occasions that these services are delayed, this is unfortunately out of our hands.

 

International Delivery:

Please note that very occasionally international shipments may get held in customs. Unfortunately, this is beyond our control.  Please be aware of possible customs charges for your country.  Please contact your customs office for further information.

 

Returns Policy:

We hope that you will be absolutely delighted with your Jacqueline & Edward jewellery. If for any reason this is not the case, you can return any item purchased through this website for a full refund, provided that the item is received by us in perfect condition, in the original packaging, and within 14 days of you having received your order. Certain pieces are not eligible for a refund, please read below for further information. If you wish to return an item, please contact us.

We are unable to accept responsibility for the non-arrival of returned goods and therefore recommend that items be sent by recorded delivery. Please note that the cost of return shipping is not refundable.

 

International Returns

Please know that any international customs, duties and taxes paid at checkout or on receipt of products are not refundable and you will be refunded the product cost only.

 

Non Returnable Items:

 

Bespoke Products

We are unable to refund items that are ‘made to order’. These products have been made bespoke to you and are therefore non-resalable. Unless your product is faulty, no exchange, credit note or refund will be possible and the conditions set out above do not apply.

 

Engraved or Personalised Products

We are unable to refund items that have been engraved or personalised i.e. with chosen river gold. These products have been made bespoke to you and are therefore non-resalable. Unless your product is faulty, no exchange, credit note or refund will be possible and the conditions set out above do not apply.

 

Faulty Products 

We care enormously about our customer service and we make every effort to check your products thoroughly for any faults before dispatching them to you. All products returned as faulty will be inspected on receipt. We will always replace a faulty product if a replacement is in stock and available. If you wish to be sent a replacement, please make your request clear when contacting us about the fault.

If we cannot offer you a replacement, you will have the choice of receiving a credit note or a refund to your card, to the value of the item at the time of purchase and any shipping costs incurred at the time of sale.

 

Handmade Policy:

All of Jacqueline & Edwards pieces are made with the utmost care and attention.  Please note that these items are all made by hand in our family run workshop and each piece is inevitably unique.  It should be expected that there are the slightest differences between what you see online and what you receive, to accommodate the “human factor” in their creation.  This makes each piece a one of a kind piece.

 

Ring Sizing:

We are happy to resize all simple bands at a cost of £30.00 plus return postage costs.

 

Gold Panning Experience Booking Terms & Conditions 

These are designed to ensure safety, clarity, fairness to all parties and to ensure your gold panning experience from initial enquiry till your return home after your is the very best we can provide.

 

Booking & Payments System

At checkout please notify us of any medical conditions, including any allergies that may affect your experience with us. If booking the exclusive experience package please notify us of any dietary requirements or food allergies.   We reserve the right to refuse a booking, or to make changes to advertised prices until the point of confirmation of your venture. If this occurs, we will notify you and if you are not satisfied with this all monies paid will be returned. Full payment is due 4 weeks prior to the Exclusive Experience and at the time of booking for the Shared Experience. Exclusive Experience Bookings made within 4 weeks of the course date will require full payment on booking. If you do not pay your balance within the above time scales, you may incur further charges in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. Payments can be made online or by bank transfer.

 

Cancellation / Changes by you

Should you wish to change details of your booking after we have confirmed details, we will do our best to help accommodate you.  Should you wish to cancel the event or make a significant change which greatly reduces the package you have booked (i.e. cancel group places or specific elements of your package) the following cancellation schedule will be used to ascertain any outstanding fees.

 

Cancellation Schedules (Shared Experience – Paid at time of booking)

More than 4 weeks prior to the course date a full refund will be offered

Between 4 & 8 weeks prior to the course date a 50% refund will be offered

Within 4 weeks prior to the course date no refund will be offered

 

Cancellation Schedules (Exclusive Experience – Deposit paid at time of booking)

More than 8 weeks prior to the course date a full refund of any monies paid will be given

Between 4 & 8 weeks prior to the course date no refund will be offered of the deposit and 100% of any further balance paid.

Within 4 weeks prior to the course date no refund will be offered of any monies paid.

 

Cancellation / Changes by us

Should we make changes or cancellation due to inability to provide resources or staff, or when cancellation by others on your course makes continuation unviable or impractical, we will inform you as soon as possible with suggested alternatives. Should these not be satisfactory or suitable for you, we will refund all monies within 14 days.

We will always strive to provide you with the activity/venue/itinerary stated on our website, however, the very nature of the outdoor environment means that the weather and other unforeseen circumstances can often determine that this is not possible. Examples of possible hindrance may be extreme weather, the river is in flood to the point of preventing safe access or no gold is found (although this is very uncommon) Any changes we are forced to make due to these or similar circumstances will be based on ensuring your safety and providing you with a quality outdoor experience. We will inform you as soon as we have made an assessment that such a change is necessary, so that we can arrange alternative activities/venues /itineraries for your day/event/course that will be suitable for the whole group. Refunds are not normally provided in such circumstances.

Clients meeting us at venues will need to arrange to meet us at the alternative venue.

If, due to Force Majeure we are unable to fulfil our contract with you, you will not be due compensation. This relates to extremely unusual or unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control which generally affect us all. These can include, for example, war, riot, industrial dispute, terrorist activity and its consequences, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, extreme weather conditions which make normal operations impossible to continue or dangerous.

 

Insurance

Although we have full public liability insurance, we recommend that you arrange adequate personal insurance cover for activities, holidays and courses. You should note that many travel insurance policies exclude cover for certain sporting activities, so you should carefully check the terms of any proposed insurance policy to ensure that it meets your requirements.

 

Liability

In the absence of any negligence or other breach of duty by us or our employees and agents, you will be responsible for any loss, theft, injury or damage to your own vehicles, their contents fittings or accessories. In the event of a breach of this contract by Jacqueline & Edward, we shall not be liable for any loss, damage cost or expense arising out of the breach which was not reasonably foreseeable at the date the contract is made, except in respect of death or personal injury resulting from any act or omission on the part of Jacqueline & Edward.  Jacqueline & Edward will only be liable for loss or damage caused by the proven negligence or default of the company or its employees in performing their obligations under this agreement.

 

Health and Safety

It is your responsibility when booking to ensure that you and members of your group are fit enough to cope with the activity and the environment associated with your booking. Clients must inform us prior to the event of any medical condition/ illness / disability (including medication which may affect their performance) so we can discuss your needs and make appropriate arrangements. All clients should inform us immediately if they feel unwell during the activity. Clients must adhere to the instructions, guidance and decisions of our instructors as they have specialist knowledge & skills and are committed to keeping you safe. Alcohol or illicit drug use is not permitted prior or during activities. Clients must show respect to equipment / vehicles / buildings / other clients / neighbours / staff / centre rules – Abuse or causing distress to others or loss/damage due to negligence will result in repair / full replacement costs. This may also lead to exclusion from activities  /courses without refund.

 

Booking Forms, Medical Declaration, Group Details & Parental Consent Forms

The booker must ensure that all participants and for those under 18 years of age – parents and guardians have received copies of booking conditions and all activity information & safety points prior to the event. Medical Declaration, Group Details & Parent Consent Forms must be completed and returned before the commencement date for the course. Failure to complete and return these forms on time may result in participants being excluded from activity without refund.

 

Visitors of clients

Please note that only paying clients have access to our course. Refusal will not necessarily be denied if permission is sought. Pets are generally excluded on the grounds of others comfort, health & safety.

 

Use of equipment

All equipment is provided free of charge. When using any Jacqueline & Edward equipment for your personal use you are making a personal judgement that you have the necessary skills and aptitude to use this equipment safely in the environment that you chose to use it. Jacqueline & Edward is not liable for any personal injury or incident that may occur due to your choices whilst this equipment is with you. You are also liable for any damage, loss or theft of the equipment while it is in your keeping.

 

Service and feedback

We want you to enjoy your gold panning experience to its fullest, if you are dissatisfied with any aspect of the service provided by Jacqueline & Edward please inform us as soon as possible and we will take appropriate action.

 

Photographs, Marketing & Social Media

Photographs and videos may be taken by Jacqueline & Edward during your course for marketing purposes. A selection of these will be uploaded to our social media sites of you to review and may be used for other marketing purposes and publications. It is our policy to retain the anonymity of our clients, we therefore never identify any school, group or person by their name or location without their expressed permission.
