Our range of engagement rings are perfect for people who prefer handmade, ethically produced beautiful jewellery. Our eco-friendly jewellery is made entirely from sustainably sourced recycled precious metals in our family run workshop in Wetherby, Yorkshire.
All our gold rings contain natural alluvial river gold from an area of your choosing, gifted from our family collection therefore connecting people to places of importance in their lives. Gold panning can be done in a manner which is sustainable and not at all detrimental to the environment by respecting nature and the landowners alike. We currently hold a stunning collection of alluvial gold spanning across Southern and Northern England, Central and Northern Wales, Southern, Central and Northern Scotland, Southern and Northern Ireland, Italy, France, Spain, Poland, Finland, Sweden, Germany, Canada, Japan and New Zealand.
Our palladium rich white gold alloy never needs replating and is enriched with platinum group elements.
All of the 950 platinum in our collection is fully recycled which avoids the harmful effects of mining and protects the environment by conserving energy and re-using existing resources.
All recycled diamonds at 0.50ct or above have a minimum standard of Clarity SI and Colour H. Certified by GIA.
All lab grown diamonds at 0.50ct or above have a minimum standard of Clarity VS and Colour E. Certified by GIA / IGI or HRD.
All our diamonds are conflict-free, we work with either lab grown diamonds or diamonds that have been recycled.
All our gemstones are ethically sourced and conflict free. As all our rings are made to order, exact colour tone of gemstones may vary but we always seek best quality stones available at the time of purchase.
All our pieces are created individually and are fully handmade. We take pride in creating all our pieces from molten metal in our workshop. They roll around in the bottom of our crucibles before being poured, rolled, shaped and polished into their final form. Our pieces are truly handmade in every sense of the word and are presented in a hand carved, wooden presentation box created by good old Grandpa Ray.
With every order, we plant a tree within the Caledonian Forest in Scotland. Find out more about our partnership with Trees for Life
It is a legal requirement for any piece of jewellery weighing more than 1g of gold or 0.5g of platinum to be hallmarked by an independent assay office. We hallmark our pieces at Edinburgh Assay Office.
Don’t know your ring size? Find your exact size from the comfort of your own home so you get the perfect fit first time by using our Remote Ring Sizing Service
Or, if you are local or visiting Yorkshire, you are of course welcome to visit our workshop to be sized and you can also see our collection of natural gold and learn about both the process of ring making and that of prospecting and panning for gold.
We also offer personalised engraving which can be selected with any order.

So pleased the wedding ring I ordered! I spent a while searching for a ring that was ethically made, simple, but not completely plain. I wanted a different finish to the ring shown on the website and they were very happy to accommodate that and took the time to ask for more details to ensure I got the ring I wanted. The team were always quick to respond and very helpful. My ring is perfect and I couldn’t be happier with it, thank you!

I absolutely love my wedding ring! 🙂 It is so beautiful, fits really well and came in a wonderful wooden gift box. I am really pleased I purchased from Jacqueline & Edward, not only because of the finished product but for their sustainability/eco credentials. I had help from both Mark and Richard who were extremely friendly and helpful through the whole process.

Absolutely in love with my wedding band from J&E, who were also a delight to communicate with. They are so genuinely invested in their sustainability mission and it’s been wonderful to be able to inject so much extra special meaning into something which is intrinsically already a special item to us. My fiance and I got engaged in Scotland and noticed the deforestation in the highlands, so to have my ring made with gold panned from Scottish rivers and to contribute towards replanting the Caledonian forest is very meaningful to us. The ring itself is beautifully made and fits perfectly alongside my engagement ring.
